History
Brief History of Character:
Caden was born to Jacob and Samantha Jones on January 15, 1969. They were young parents and unprepared to have their first child in their first year of marriage and only two years out of Hogwarts. But they took the responsibility head on. Caden was loved and wanted from the very first day. Both worked in the Ministry and raised their son with the ideals of society. However, they did not try to instill the pureblood superiority on their son. They tried to raise him to think of everyone has fair and equal in the magical world, which keeping to the magical world. They never condoned anything bad happening to the muggles and tried to have no opinion on muggle or muggleborn politics. In the Jones' family linage, they knew they were not pure. They had no real muggle or muggleborn relatives in their immediate family past, but they strove to be fair knowing they were not as pure as others.
In late 1979, Caden found out that he was finally going to have a sibling. His mother was pregnant was with who was to be his little sister, Megan, who was born in the spring of 1980. That fall, Caden went off to Hogwarts where he was Sorted into the same house both his parents were from, Hufflepuff. Despite spending most of the next seven years away from home at Hogwarts, he grew close to his little sister Megan whom he immediately adored and took the productive older brother role with her. At school, he thrived in potions, but lacked the necessary skills to do well in dark arts. He never failed particularly, but he did struggle with what it took to be good in the class.
When he graduated in 1987, he didn't relish the thought of going to work at the Ministry. Caden liked to be around people, but he didn't like the idea of being behind a desk or trapped in some career he grew to hate. He took a job as a clerk at a shop for a few months after graduation, but eventually quit to become a server at a local café. The café became something he loved. His parents saw their son's love for the café environment and with Megan off to Hogwarts herself offered to help him set up his own café. After getting the money together with the help of his parents, in 1998 just before Megan graduated from Hogwarts herself, Caden opened a café/coffee shop/bakery that he named the Calliope Café. He had a long term relationship of five years who eventually became a partner there, but when they broke up in 2000, she left to have her own ventures without strings to him. They ended things on good terms with Calliope Café thriving as a laid back environment for coffee, tea, other beverages, actual food, and bakery goods.
In late 2000, Caden tried to stretch the business and began hosting live shows of any kind during the night. There were live concerts for local bands and comedy acts in a place that did not serve alcohol and all were welcome. Hogswarts weekends and the summer became the busiest time for his café with the students being around once again. Now Calliope Café had turned into a coffee shop/bakery/café/night club for unknown acts in the magical community which Caden is very proud of the accomplishment that his business was and was able to pay back all the money his parents loaned him to start it with interest.
